This Thursday 11/29 Upstream is pleased to host Nina Navid. Nina is a brown belt under Roger Gracie and an instructor at Roger Gracie Academy HQ in London. She is an accomplished competitor as well as coach to one of Europe’s strongest women’s teams. This event will start at 6:30 and will be in the gi. It is FREE to Upstream students and $20 for visitors. Do not miss the chance to learn from such a dedicated and knowledgable athlete!
Upstream Kids growing strong!
Our kids’ program at Upstream BJJ has really been growing! We are excited to announce we are now accepting children from 4 years old. Kids’ class is every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 5-6 pm. Monday and Tuesday classes are in the gi, while Thursday is no gi for the kids. Bring your child in today to learn discipline, teamwork and of course jiu jitsu, in a friendly but challenging environment. We offer membership and block class options to suit any busy school schedule.
Great strides for Upstream at the IBJJF Charlotte Open!
Upstream BJJ blue belt Carsyn Nash took home silver this past weekend at the IBJJF Charlotte Open. This was one of her first gi tournaments and her first IBJJF gi tournament. She has made great progress and we are excited to see what she will do next. We are so proud of you Carsyn!
Women's class is back on! 7/14/18
After a short break, women's class is back on schedule this Saturday at 11. Bring your gi and get some training in with other jiu jitsu women. Stick around afterwards for extra rolls at open mat!
